Getting to BayFest

BayFest is located in and beside Hangar 101 on Marine Corps Base Hawaii, Kaneohe Bay.

Special Notice: All vehicles MUST be removed from the flight line following BayFest events. Any vehicle left on the flight line will be subject to immediate tow at the owner’s expense.

Traveling by Car

  • Make sure you have your driver’s license, valid registration and proof of insurance on hand, in case you are asked to present them by the Military Police.
  • All vehicles are subject to random search.
  • DO NOT talk on your cell phone while driving. Military Police will issue tickets and citations for this violation.
  • You may park at one of the designated parking lots and catch the shuttle to Hangar 101.

Traveling by Motorcycle or Moped

  • Make sure you have your driver’s license, valid registration and proof of insurance on hand, in case you are asked to present them by the Military Police.
  • All vehicles are subject to random search
    Dress code is enforced:

    • Helmet must be Department Of Transportation approved and fastened properly under the chin if chin strap is attached to helmet.
    • Eyes must be protected by shatter resistant goggles or a full face shield attached to the helmet.
    • Safety glasses and windshields are not considered proper eye protection.
    • Shoes must be closed toe, over the ankle shoes with hard soles. Sandals, slippers, tennis shoes and other similar footwear is not authorized.
    • Reflective vest: During daylight hours must wear brightly colored outer upper garment or high visibility reflective vest. During the hours of darkness must wear a high visibility reflective vest of international orange, lime green, or bright yellow with reflective striping. Do not cover or conceal the vest while riding a motorcycle or moped. Military personnel may wear the vest over the uniform of the day.
    • Must wear long trousers, long sleeve shirt or jacket, and full-fingered gloves.
    • Additional protective clothing such as long sleeved shirts or jackets is strongly encouraged.

Traveling by City Bus

  • Route 70 includes service to MCB Hawaii in the morning and early afternoon. Route 56 includes service to Aikahi Park, just outside the MCB Hawaii back gate. From there, patrons can catch a cab to the BayFest site. Click here ( to see a route map.

Traveling by Taxi

  • Tell the cabbie you want to go to the Marine Corps Base in Kaneohe, and to drop you off near Hangar 101.

Traveling on Foot

  • When coming through the main gate, have an ID handy. You may need to present it to the Military Police.
  • Go to the first traffic light and make a left on Third Street.
  • Go to the end of Third Street and keep going left.
  • Walk down that road until you reach the BayFest entrance.


BayFest Parking and Transportation

Aloha and Welcome to BayFest!

We want to make your visit as pleasant as possible. A few precautions will help in this effort.

  • Please plan to arrive well-ahead of your concert time.
  • The event gates open to the public at 3:00 p.m. Friday, and Noon on Saturday and Sunday.
  • Concert gates open at 5:00 p.m. nightly.
  • A list of prohibited items is located on the Information page.


Base Entry

If you are driving to Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH), Kaneohe Bay and do not have a military decal on your vehicle, please enter MCBH from the H-3 gate. Security personnel will direct you from the gate to a parking area. Those with pre-designated event parking passes will be routed from the left lane. ADA Access

Upon entering the Base, guests should have their ADA vehicle pass on display for proper direction by military police. ADA parking is located between Hangars 1 and 2, at the entrance of BayFest. Entry to BayFest through the hangar is ADA accessible, and once in the concert area there will be ADA seating available.


BayFest parking is free. We will simultaneously fill various lots. We will be posting a map of the parking areas prior to BayFest.


Shuttles will be running between the various parking areas, through Base Housing and to the BayFest site. See shuttle route here (The map has now been removed). The shuttles will start on Friday at 1:00 p.m. and on Saturday & Sunday at noon. They will run approximately every 30 minutes.


The City Bus system has two routes available for close access to the installation: Route #70 (which provides access onto the Base) and Route #56 (which comes near the Base to Aikahi Park). Route maps and schedules can be found at the following links:
